| Fafco Solar Heating System, Sunsaver - Aboveground Fafco’s Sunsaver solar system is designed to heat aboveground pools. It is easy to install and provides a high level of performance. One attractive panel sets up anywhere and can provide 80,000 BTU’s per day. The Sunsaver can raise pool water temperature by as much as 10 degrees without a gas bill from the utility company, without the installation of a gas fired heater. During the hot summer months, the Sunsaver can help cool the pool by recirculating through it at night. The system includes a 4 x 20 panel and a manual bypass valve. | Sunheater from SmartPools works by using the pool pump to automatically pump water through the solar collectors. The water is then heated as it moves through the collectors. Tube and web design traps the heat and catches light as the sun moves across the sky. The heated water is returned back to the pool through the return lines. A properly sized and installed system will raise pool temperatures 10-15° during the season. Collectors should get full sun for at least 6 hours. The longer the collectors are in the sun, the better they work.
